ESL have revealed details of IEM Sydney qualifiers in Europe and North America, each of which will award one spot at the $250,000 tournament.
The qualifiers in both regions will feature the same two-step process, starting with an open stage with an unlimited amount of teams, from which the finalists will advance to the closed stage.
Six invited teams will join the aforementioned two teams in the closed qualifier, which will be played in a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket. Only the winners in each region will secure a ticket to IEM Sydney, taking place on May 1-6.
The open stage will run from March 27 to 28 in both regions. Teams interested in taking part can sign up for the European qualifier here, or the North American qualifier here. The closed qualifier will follow on March 29-30.
